Miso Funky Market Terms and Conditions
Thank you for your interest in exhibiting at the Miso Funky market!
This page is designed to inform you what you will get for your buck and what we will do in return.
Our aim for the market is to get our own and your goods out there and in the public eye. The Miso Funky Market is not being run to make a profit - the costs charged to you are to cover hall hire and marketing materials only.
The cost to hire a table at the Miso Funky market is dependent on venue and size, date and number of marketeers. The average cost is less than £20 per stall. The exact price will be confirmed to you by email in advance of the market taking place.
This gets you:
- One table to use in any way you see fit to display your items.
- Use of electricity as supplied by venue, where available.
- Colour posters to download and display in location of your choice, where available.
- Flyer template for you to download, print out and distribute at will, where available..
In return for your payment, Miso Funky will also be putting up posters and flyering in the local area. It is kindly requested that the marketeers give out flyers and put up posters advertising the market in their local areas also. The Miso Funky market is a craft co-op like organisation that the success of is really down to the stall holders and organisers jointly. It relies on not only the organisers to do their bit - but also the marketeers as well.
We will also be contacting local press with a view to getting a listing for the market - e.g. The List, Metro, the Evening Times, etc. You will also be listed on the Miso Funky website.
We will email our substantial database to advise them of the time and date of the market. Please feel free to pass news on to any of your own contacts.
Miso Funky cannot be held responsible for any circumstances outwith our control which may lead to the market being cancelled at short notice. If the market is cancelled by the venue and our hire costs are refunded, then the portion of your payment that we get back will be returned to you. Please ensure that you keep Miso Funky informed of any change in contact details so that we can keep in touch with you and let you know of any last minute changes that may arise (hopefully none!).
Neither Miso Funky nor the venue is responsible for keeping your stock or personal belongings safe - you are! Neither of the aforementioned parties is responsible for any lost, damaged or stolen items on the day or for any personal injury to you or any customers.
You agree that you will pay the full amount for stall hire no later than 2 weeks before the market date, unless otherwise agreed by a Director of Miso Funky Ltd. Payment can be made by the following methods:
- In person at the Miso Funky Market Meet-up by cash or cheque (made payable to J Bartlett).
- Online via Paypal by sending money to hello@misofunky.com (add £1 to total stall fee to cover Paypal's ludicrous costs).
- By post by sending a cheque made payable to J Bartlett (note - please do NOT send cash by post).
An invoice will be sent to you when you have confirmed your place at the market. In the event that you withdraw from the market less than 14 days prior to the event, no refund of stall fees will be made. This is because we will then have to pay the venue regardless of how many marketeers will be attending and cannot guarantee we can find someone to take your place. Furthermore, if you do withdraw less than 14 days prior to the event, we will remove you from our database of potential marketeers.
