We’re so in with the in crowd at Miso Funky, that we had Jesus himself pick the winners of the giveaway!
OK, not quite! My brother gave me this little Momiji Jesus for Christmas though to add to my collection – the little steamed buns look delighted to have him join them!
So, to the winners! The tote bag was won by Reva Skie, who wanted a house by the beach for Christmas. I hope you were more successful with your wish than I was with mine – no pony or puppy here!
The calendar was won by K Maguire who wanted an otter. I think I’d like an otter too, come to think of it. Roll on my birthday in March!
Winners, please email hello at misofunky dot com to claim your prize.
It’s always fun for me doing giveaways and competitions, so stay tuned for more in the new year! It’s always nice to read comments from readers too – my new year’s resolution is to comment more, as I know lots of bloggers really appreciate comments, as I do.
Right, it’s off to my mother in law’s for dinner now – should be interesting, as a crown fell out of my tooth earlier, so I am strictly one-sided til tomorrow at least – booo!
PS – that break from the blog didn’t last long! :)

There’s nothing more for us to say now than Merry Christmas!
Thanks to everyone who has supported Miso Funky this year, whether it be through press, purchasing or blogging about us. We really do appreciate it!
We’re taking a break from the blog and the shop now until the first week in January. Any orders will be posted upon our return but we will be checking email sporadically over the festive season, so do email if you need anything!
Have a great time, everyone and see you in 2010!
We knew there were some diehard fans of Miso Funky out there, but this takes it to a whole new level!

Argentinian robot fan, Ludmila was so taken by our Robot Lovers that she has had them TATTOOED on her!
She wrote to tell me…
I would like you to see this album, i took your picture of the robots and use them to do this!
I’m going to thank you because I fell in love with the picture and it was very important for me because my boyfriend and I from the beginning of our relationship we were called ‘the robot couple’, because we both are fans of Daft Punk and because of other things I hope you like it, goodbye!
To which my response is – Wow! I am quite taken aback and also a little thrilled that someone loved something I produced so much that they want it on their body for the rest of their life. I was speechless for a few moments after reading and seeing that!
Here are the robots together:

And here they are in the more traditional cross stitch form!

If you love them as much as Ludmila, you can purchase some robot goodness here.
And don’t forget – Hamish is having a giveaway! It’s open until 26th December, so there’s still plenty of time to enter. You can win a tote bag or calendar and there may well be some spot prizes too – it’s the season of goodwill after all.
It’s the season of goodwill and all that, so I thought we’d have a little giveaway to spread the cheer! There’s just a few days now until Christmas, so give yourself a little gift and enter to win…

Yes, you could win a Breakdance tote bag! Each is the perfect size for your shopping, for school, the gym, work… the possibilities are endless!
They’re printed on 100% Fair trade cotton and have nice long handles for hanging over your shoulders.
As a second prize, I’m also giving away…
Yes – an emo-broidery calendar! I know, I know, I’m too good to you. I think Hamish has been at the sherry, he’s playing very fast and loose with the keys to the stock room today! And it’s only 10am!
The giveaway is open to everyone, wherever in the world you may be, and it’s open til 12 noon GMT on Saturday 26th December, Boxing Day as we call it in the UK.
Extra brownie points if you Twitter, blog, etc about it and the winner will be selected at random soon after the closing date.
So, all you have to do is leave a comment below and tell us what you’d like for Christmas – we’d like a pony, a puppy and a helper monkey, in that order.
Merry Christmas, everyone!

You may have missed the last boat for ordering online (although if you’d like a mug, What Would Delia Do?, magnets, tote bag or calendars, we could probably still post until Monday!), but fear not, for we are at our very last market of 2009 this weekend!
Edinburgh’s vibrant Grassmarket will be home this Christmas to an exciting new market for Scotland’s leading makers, artists and craftspeople, which naturally includes Miso Funky.
We’re sharing a stall with our buddies at Asking For Trouble and our joint venture, Super Cute Kawaii.
So, we’ll have quite a large selection of gifts to suit all pockets and tastes! It’s the perfect place for that unique Christmas find.
Stay tuned for an exciting giveaway next week, too!
OK, UK peoples – this is your last call!
You have until 2pm TODAY to make your orders to receive in time for Christmas. Anything after this we’ll still try to work on and get to you in time, but there are no guarantees.
Sorry international people, you’ve missed the boat!
To aid your last minute shopping, you can bag 10% off your entire order by quoting LASTMIN at the checkout, only valid until 2pm today!
After all this is over, we’ll be taking a break, returning to dispatching orders on January 5th or thereabouts.
Have a very happy Christmas or indeed holiday time, whatever you celebrate! If we wish EXTRA hard, we just get snow!
AWOOOOOGA!
Please note that we are TOO BUSY to take any further orders for Christmas after 2pm on Wednesday 16th December.
To ensure delivery for Christmas, please place your order before then.
Also, please be aware that orders placed for Courier Delivery will now be sent 1st Class Recorded Delivery for the same price as the courier delivery company cannot guarantee Christmas delivery after today.
That is all – get to it and shop here whilst you can!

In Glasgow this Sunday? You could do a lot worse than to get yourself down to Oran Mor on the corner of Byres Road and Great Western Road and visit the West End Christmas Fair.
It’s on from 12 – 4 and features lots of Christmas gifts, including a giant Miso Funky/Asking For Trouble/Super Cute Kawaii stall of amazingness!
There’s also, I hear, Santa himself, mulled wine and mince pies not to mention a giant dollop of festive cheer. AND it’s all for charidee – the Myasthenia Gravis Association, no less.
This is our penultimate event of the year, so don’t miss it!
