Eastenders Giveaway Winner!

Monday, July 5th, 2010

I bet you’ve all been waiting with baited breath to see who won the Eastenders giveaway! I know I have, but I’ve been so busy that I’ve hardly had time to squeeze in fancy stuff like sleeping, never mind drawing a winner!

But today, our trusty friend, Mr Random.org, has done the business and the winner is…

Clare, email me your address to have your prize sent to!

Thanks everyone who took part and of course to Laura who supplied the prize. I’ll certainly bring you news of her new projects as soon as I get it!

Now – back to the frantic preparation for Bust in London this Saturday! I only have a small pitch and it’s very difficult deciding how to set that up and what to take! If you’re going on Saturday and have a special request, make sure you get in touch beforehand so I can make sure I bring it!

Competition Winners

Monday, April 26th, 2010

Well, that was interesting! I’ve had a great time over the last week reading and answering your questions. You can see them all here.

There is one lucky winner of the Home Sweet Fucking Home sampler:

SDC11529

The winner is Laura, who asked:

Hello there, My question to you is… “what is the rudest word you have ever stitched?”

I particularly enjoyed answering this one as it reminded me of the email I got to ask me to stitch the particularly rude phrase – it gave me a good old chuckle. You can see the answer on the Formspring page with a link to a picture – don’t click on it if you are easily offended (or you are my mum).

Laura, check your email!

I said I’d also give away 2 coasters, and these are going to Nikki McW, who asked me about chips and where the best ones are in Glasgow and Nicki T who gave me a blast from the past enquiring about my old pal, Furry Norman. That’s a story for another day though!

Ladies, get in touch at hello at misofunky dot com and we’ll get your coaster sorted out.

Thanks everyone who asked a question! You can ask questions any time you like of course, just for the hell of it here.

Lots of stuff happening behind the scenes here just now, so stay tuned for news soon!

Competition Time

Monday, April 19th, 2010

It’s been a bit of a quiet time from us on the old blogerino, but that’s cos we’ve been taking a bit of a break. Our favourite cousins have been visiting from the US of A, so we took ourselves off for a mini-break in our own city (Glasgow), this weekend.

But now it’s Monday and time to get back to work! Ah, Monday morning – it must surely be the least-favourite day all over the world. That back-to-work feeling really sucks after a whole weekend of doing your own thing.

To try to lighten up the day a bit, I’ve decided to make it competition day!

SDC11529

To enter, it’s rather simple. I know that Marceline over at Asking For Trouble had great fun answering questions posed by readers at Formspring, so I’m going to follow in her footsteps and have my own quiz!

To be in with a chance of winning this Home Sweet F&!king Home sampler, above, simply click here to ask us a question or leave your question in the comments (remember to leave your email address too!).

You can ask anything you like – serious, funny, factual, personal – I’ll answer them and we’ll all have fun, capiche? Then the winner will take this sampler home to roost on their mantelpiece and frighten the neighbours.

The winner is the person who asks the question I like best, so it’s up to you to make it interesting! There are also 2 runner up prizes of I heart gin coasters, as the winners of the last giveaway were LOSERS who did not claim their prizes!

The competition is open for a whole week - the closing date is Monday 26th April at 12 noon.  I do reserve the right not to answer anything even I think is inappropriate! You can also get extra brownie points and good karma for spreading the word via Twitter, your blog, Facebook, etc, too. The competition is open internationally.

Now, get your thinking caps on!

Coaster Winners

Thanks to everyone who entered last week’s giveaway! It was nice to see some comments from new faces as well as established fans :)

So, without further ado, the winners, plucked at random from Hamish’s nosebag:

Heidi
Ingrid

Please email your postal address to hello at misofunky dot com to claim your prize!

Thank you to everyone who entered. Fear not if you didn’t win this time – I’ve got another giveaway coming up very soon, this time on a tea towel tip!

And don’t forget the tiny sale is now on!

Giveaway!

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

SDC11448

It’s been a little while since our last giveaway, so it must be time for another. The weather is terrible here in Glasgow – it’s been snowing for 24 hours and it’s hard to believe that it’s officially summer time.

Completely unrelated to that though is the prize! I’ve got some I Love Gin coasters to give away to two lucky winners. These are always really popular items here at Miso Funky, but I’ll let you into a secret – I actually hate gin! It makes me sick just sniffing it – yuck!

To be in with a chance of winning, just leave a comment telling me what your favourite drink is, alcoholic or not. The winner will be chosen by Hamish at random after the competition closes at 3pm on Friday 2nd April.

For extra entries, you can post about the giveaway on Twitter, your blog, Facebook, writing it in the sky with a bi-plane. Just mention that in your comment.

Christmas Giveaway Winners

Monday, December 28th, 2009

jeezy

We’re so in with the in crowd at Miso Funky, that we had Jesus himself pick the winners of the giveaway!

OK, not quite! My brother gave me this little Momiji Jesus for Christmas though to add to my collection – the little steamed buns look delighted to have him join them!

So, to the winners! The tote bag was won by Reva Skie, who wanted a house by the beach for Christmas. I hope you were more successful with your wish than I was with mine – no pony or puppy here!

The calendar was won by K Maguire who wanted an otter. I think I’d like an otter too, come to think of it. Roll on my birthday in March!

Winners, please email hello at misofunky dot com to claim your prize.

It’s always fun for me doing giveaways and competitions, so stay tuned for more in the new year! It’s always nice to read comments from readers too – my new year’s resolution is to comment more, as I know lots of bloggers really appreciate comments, as I do.

Right, it’s off to my mother in law’s for dinner now – should be interesting, as a crown fell out of my tooth earlier, so I am strictly one-sided til tomorrow at least – booo!

PS – that break from the blog didn’t last long! :)
