Miso Funky is now closed for holidays! We’ll be back in action on the 19th of September. Orders placed between now and then will be posted upon our return from the beach.

But what is it? QR codes are traditionally a two-dimensional image like a barcode; used by barcode readers and camera phones. They usually consist of smaller black squares on a larger square white background. The information contained within usually direct code readers to a website, but can also be used to hide text messages or other information.

The project aims to help more people understand QR codes and how they can be used to share, promote, collaborate and experiment.

It really does lend itself beautifully to cross-stitch, don’t you think?

Me and Mr Miso Funky are off on holiday in a few days, to visit our lovely cousins in Cincinnati. We’ll also be taking a trip to Chicago for a few days and we’re both looking forwards to a well-earned break.

As such, orders placed after 12 noon Monday 14th March (GMT) will not be dispatched until our return on April 1st.

I know it’s not Thanksgiving until next Thursday, but there is a lot to be thankful for here at Miso Funky HQ.

Firstly, a massive thanks and hello to all our new visitors and customers who’ve joined us this week. After Emily Peacock’s work was featured on Kirstie’s Homemade Home on Tuesday, the website went into overdrive and we had more than 10 times the usual number of people come and see us!

We’re currently completely overwhelmed with orders but we are working through them as quickly as humanly possible and will get things dispatched as soon as we can. If you’ve purchased an Emily Peacock chart and something else, please notethey may be dispatched to you seperately.

Secondly, thanks to everyone who came down to the open studio evening yesterday. It was lovely to see some new faces – thanks for taking the time to seek us out and if you missed it, we’ll be doing it again before Christmas.
