New Emily Peacock Kits

November 21st, 2011

The brand new collection of Emily Peacock needlepoint kits is here! I’m really excited about these as they are so bright, modern and vibrant. They are also printed directly onto the canvas, so are simple to follow. They really fit our Miso Funky ethos – needlework is not rocket science, it’s fun!

There are 4 delightful designs to choose from in this Retro Modern range – Fish, Bird, Sun and Flowers and all retail at £65, including all the materials you’ll need.

They make perfect gifts for those hard-to-buy for folks and are a great project for winter evenings.

And our British Isles map mini sampler is brand new, too – another well-received item at Renegade! Again, more destinations to come.

Emily Peacock For Breast Cancer Care

October 21st, 2011

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and to mark the occasion Cross Stitcher magazine is raising money for Breast Cancer Care’s Pink Friday’s campaign.

Hundreds of people throughout the country will host a Pink Fridays party at work home or school and to help raise awareness, Cross Stitcher has enlisted the help of Miso Funky favourite Emily Peacock who has created a special ‘stitch-it yourself’ pink ribbon design especially for the partnership with Breast Cancer Care.

Emily’s design is a beautiful and versatile version of the iconic breast cancer ribbon. It can be cross stitched, sewn, knitted or crocheted and made into anything from a greeting card, picture or corsage to a pretty pin-brooch.

The gorgeous design is available to download on Cross Stitcher’s dedicated Just Giving site for a suggested £2 donation to Breast Cancer Care. It’s a fun and rewarding craft project that anyone can try – and all for a very good cause!

The Cross Stitcher team and Emily are encouraging readers to get creative with their ribbons and upload photos of their finished products onto a dedicated Flickr page where they can see what others have made.

Emily Peacock said: “The spirit of Breast Cancer Care and the incredible work they do can be so wonderfully expressed through cross stitch. To create something from your own hands for someone else, or with the thought or memory of someone who has gone through the nightmare of cancer is, I feel, a true offering and beautiful symbol of love and compassion.”

You can download the Emily Peacock ribbon now here. Don’t forget the £2 donation – it could help save a life.
